Preparation Program　準備プログラム

Within the 4-week summer workshop, there will be 4 daily sessions.  There will be  a culminating project for each session.  The key topics for each session are outlined below.  All courses will be taught in small group sessions with a highly skilled International School Educator. This program will help any students who will start an education in an English school this upcoming year.  The workshop will assist student’s easy transition in addition to acquiring skills which apply to all the classes.

４週間のサマーワークショップでは４つのセッションが毎日あります。それぞれのセッションはプロジェクトが最後にあります。各セッションの重要なポイントは下記の通りです。すべてのクラスは高いスキルのあるインターナショナルスクールの教育者によって小規模なクラスで行われます。このプログラムは今年から新たに英語で教育を受ける生徒が新しい環境の中でスムーズに英語の学習環境に慣れ、全ての科目に応用できるスキルを身につけます。

Organizational Skills　組織能力

Developing good organizational skills is a key ingredient for success in school and in life. Although some people are by nature more organized than others, organizational skills can be learned and once organizational routines are put into place students will often see a higher level of success immediately.  During the Keio Prep Workshop students will learn and develop a variety of organizational skills. Such as note taking and listening skills, time management and organizational skills, Goal setting and planning, as well as study and testing strategies.

組織能力（物事をまとめあげるスキル）をもつことは学校やその他の生活の中でも成功の鍵となります。人によっては他人より自然に組織能力の身に付いている生徒もいますが、このスキルは学習することで身に付き、一度それが日常化すると短期間の内により高いレベルの学習成果を期待する事ができます。この準備コースの中では様々な組織能力を学びまた向上させていくことを狙いとします。勉強やテストへの取り組み方同様、ノートの取り方、授業の聞き方、時間の管理の仕方、まとめる力、目標設定やその計画などが例としてあげられます。

Intensive Phonics Training　発音と綴りの集中トレーニング

At the foundation of every good English program is phonics.  Through intensive phonics training students will gain improved phonemic awareness (reading readiness), reading fluency, vocabulary and comprehension, reading comprehension, grammar, pronunciation, punctuation, word roots, literary analysis, and critical thinking.  This will then be the basis for all other Academy sessions.  During this session students will also be exposed to subject specific vocabulary for other classes, such as chemistry, biology, etc.

すべての英語プログラムの基礎は発音と綴りです。発音と綴りの集中トレーニングの中では生徒たちが発音と綴りに対する注意、 流暢なリ ーディング、語彙力、読解力、 文法、発音、単語の語源、文学の分析、批評的思考の力を強化します。このスキルはほかの学問的なクラスにも通じる基礎になるでしょう。またこの授業の中ではケミストリーやバイオロジーなどの授業で使用される専門的な語彙も学習します。

Writing Workshop ライティングワークショップ

During the Keio Prep writing workshop students will build on their English skills through the writing process.  They will work in small groups with experienced teacher in order to explore the writing process from rough draft through to the final product.  The session includes intensive lessons in spelling, vocabulary building, journaling, creative writing. essay writing and research skills.

このライティングワークショップではライティングを通して、英語のスキルの構築します。生徒は小規模なグルーブで経験のある教師によって下書きから最終的な作品までのライティングの進め方を学びます。このセッションは同時に綴りや語彙構築、日誌、創造性のあるライティング、論文の書き方やライティングの材料を集めるリサーチに関しても学びます。

Presentation Skills　プレゼンテーションスキル

Speaking in front of an audience can be a daunting task, even for adults! Yet it needn’t be. With guidance and practice, Keio Prep Workshop students will gain the confidence needed to speak in front of an audience in a confident and articulate manner. This course will expose children to the tools and skills needed to be poised and confident in their communication with others.  This portion of the workshop includes classes on oral reading, comprehension strategies, persuasive writing, multimedia presentation, and public speaking.

大勢の人の前で話すことは大人にとっても勇気のいるタスクです。手引きと練習により、生徒ははっきりとした口調で人の前で発表する自信を身につけることができます。このコースで生徒は他人とのコミュニケーションにおいて必要となる自信と心構えに欠かせないスキルを学ぶ機会を持ちます。このセッションの中では音読、文章理解のストラテジー、説得力のある文章、画像や音声も総合的に使用したプレゼンテーションや演説などを中心に学びます。

Make-up Courses 補習コース

TOEFL Make Up Course（TOEFL補習コース）

 ISSのTOEFL補習コースは少人数のクラスの中で、プロの教師により生徒の弱点と現在のレベルを見極めるところから始まります。テストの傾向や形式に慣れるだけでなく、弱点の強化のために必要な訓練を重ね、定期的なレベルチェックをします。語彙強化や文章ライティング、リスニングにも力を入れます。

TOEFL Make-Up Class

日にち：6月21日〜7月16日（月曜日〜金曜日）

 時間：9:00-15:00 (９0時間）詳しい時間割が必要な方はお申し付けください。
